I was banned for almost a day. Banned for "Abuse of the economy". Blizzard won't actually tell you anything, but from reading up on the interwebs, it appears there is an automated system in WoW that tracks transactions and when you have a spike in activity, or trade a shitload of stuff at a shot, this little program flags you as "a potential goldseller" and you get a ban.
I sent in support tickets saying that I'm just trying to save up money to buy the item level 378 BOE's that are going for 50-100k each and I have never bought/sold gold or otherwise engaged in any activities against the TOS. After a "second review" they reopened the account.
Had it happen to two of my bots.
Watch for this, but don't despair. I'm wondering if my account is flagged as "watch this guy" now, but I have no way of knowing. It's probably not good for sure as it leaves a mark on the record, but from other readings and considering how easily they overturned and reopened my account, this seems like a fairly minor thing.
The moral of the story is even if you are a goldseller, don't act like a goldseller, lol.
I was basically botting 24/7 for a whole week as well, so I'll probably scale back.![]()
