Silverbolt: How to "Launder" your gold

This guide pertains to the laundering of gold. Bot used is not specified.

One of the biggest things you see in the world of botting is a new person who comes along, fails to follow what a veteran may have told them, and get their main account banned. Of course, the first thing they do is run to whatever company may have sold them this bot and complain.

Im here to tell you to shut up. No one really wants to hear it. If you are smart, you can survive most bans and go on to make this program work well for you. Im going to attempt to teach you how.. kinda.

    First things first.

A lot of things about botting are learned as you go. Setup becomes easier. You learn the market a lot better. You learn what sorts of people to target when trying to make a profit. Asking questions about these things is kinda like asking a Gun expert how to shoot, AND hit a target. All they're gonna tell ya is the basics. Gotta learn the rest on your own.

    Getting Started
Now, this is assuming you know how to use the bot and have successfully started farming. You're going to quickly learn a couple things:
    1) Bots are like children in a certain tense. You can't leave them alone long without them doing something dumb.
    2) You need a lot of room for all of these materials (ore/herbs/leather/volatiles) that you are suddenly acquiring.
    3) Markets are fickle. Therefore, making money takes a bit of work.
    4) Your limits.

There are ways to counter all of this though. Through the help of a lot of the mods on this site and some really great guides on the site before this one, I have learned ways to counteract a lot of the negatives that can arise from botting.

    Account Safety
There are many ways to safeguard your account while you bot. HOWEVER: NEVER BOT ON AN ACCOUNT YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO LOSE That means, do not bot on your account that you have full epics and 6 legendaries on. You will want to kick your own ass if you do that.

If you are smart, you can fund your own account and not lose it. I know this because I have had the same main account since WoW released. I have lost 4 botting accounts in that time. Never my main.

Here are some tips (more to come in the future):
    1) Keep your botting account under another name that is not tied to your account. Generally Blizzard will not ban an entire surname of accounts but it always pays to be safe.
    - The only exception I make to this rule is this: If you have a wife, brother, etc with the same last name, you can put the account under their name. Generally this will result in an account ban that you MAY be able to reverse since you will be able to provide ownership proof of ID, etc. This is rare but sometimes works.

    2) VPN (Virtual Proxy Network) Learn it. Live it. Love it. Some routers have them built in. Some do not. You can also use some very generously priced companies on the internet. What do this do?

To be blunt, it makes Blizzard think that your account is being accessed from another place that is not your IP. It re-routes your IP through another source. How does this help? Well aside from keeping your IP safe, it allows you to say you were hacked and that they used your account for bad and nasty things OH MY!

    3) Do NOT associate your botting account with your main playing account in any way.

    4) Do NOT advertise to people you know that you bot.

    5) Never discuss botting in the game. EVER.

    6) Do NOT advertise the amount of money you are making to guildies and friends. Jealousy goes far even in games. Anti-Cheating sentiment is also rather large.

    7) Use that 10lb thing on your shoulders. God (Allah, Buddah, The Earthmother) put it there for a reason. Plain and simple. Think before you do something dumb.

Now, that's just a few tips on how to protect your account. There are literally hundreds of debated ways on how to hide from Blizzard, etc. Most are just substantiated and we do not know if they work. Therefore, not gonna include them here.

    Storage of Goods
Now, up top I mentioned how you were going to find yourself with a ton of materials. Easiest AND safest way to store them? Guild Banks.

You can acquire these by making them or buy spamming trade. I prefer the latter. It allows me to reserve a name that has been around for a bit and also generally already has tabs bought out in the bank. If you're really lucky, you can get them for free.

The convenience of these banks is that you can use them to link multiple accounts (Ex: Your Main acct & Botting acct) without generally raising the suspicion of Blizzard. It also allows you to instantly move around your goods. An example:

    ***** Additional Clause *****

A lot of people have contacted me in confusion as to whether or not you can bot on two different accounts but still have them connected via a Battle.Net account. The accounts CANNOT be on the same Battle.Net account or they will both be banned.

    Account 1 (Main)
Main: This toon should hold no connection to your botting account. No direct trades. No tells. No nothin.

Mule 1: This should be the GM of your Gbank. Same account as your main. I would HIGHLY suggest having an authenticator on this account.

    Account 2 (Botting Account)
Mule 2: This toon should have access to DEPOSIT only into your Gbank. This saves your ass if someone decides to hack your account that you bot on since most people don't authenticate their botting account.

Botting Toon: Your farmer. Put it in a guild. Find that guild on your server with 700 members are get yourself an invite. Why? It makes us look like some noob farming so we can do some fail raiding or make some money. An unguilded toon farming the same area makes me think bot. How about you?

Guilds for your botting toon can be helpful as well due to perks released in Cata. Improved speed, Gathering, etc. If you're really lucky, you may even get one that funds repairs for your bot. Keep an eye out.

    Tips for this:
*NEVER associate with or talk about (with anyone) the association of your botting account as it pertains to your main account. GMs can and WILL go back to check logs of you saying shit.

*Don't get lazy. Never trade directly between your two accounts. Mail your product to the guilded toon on your botting account.

Now, once you have setup your Gbank and you are selling your product, that is when you start to make some real gold.

    FAQ
Post any questions you have and I will try to answer them for you as they pertain to this guide.

    1) Can I use an account under the same name as my main account and xfer toons between them to bot and/or level?

Simple Answer: Yes. Explained: While Blizzard is stringent in their anti-cheating policy, Blizzard is still a corporation. Rarely, if ever, do they ban entire groups of account unless they have been deemed to be used in the act of "hacking" or Botting. So what does this mean? This means that YOU can have Acct A (John Doe) and Acct B (Joey Doe) and you can level a toon on Acct B for use on Acct A; and you can do this without being caught.

    2) Everyone keeps referring to VPNs but I don't really know what one is. Care to explain?

You can find everything you need to know about them right here: http://www.afkbots.com/guides/237-si...head-crap.html

You can buy one by clicking the letters VPN in the main post as well. Good Luck.

    3) Do I NEED to be 85 in order to bot and make money?

This could be contested but, in my opinion, you can make money effectively from about lvl 20 (when you can acquire a mount) This all falls back to the research you do and finding out what materials people need to lvl their professions. If you gather these, it will level your toon as well as net you a good profit.

With that said, most profit comes from max level items that you are generally only going to get from a lvl 80+ toon. So, keep that in mind when you are trying to turn out some gold quickly from your botting toon.

    4) When you say that you need the two WoW accounts to properly channel your gold, do you mean two separate B.net accounts or can they be linked?

I should have specified on this point, but it needs to be two completely unrelated B.net accounts. When you bot, you risk being banned. When Blizzard bans, they ban on the B.net account level. Therefore you would lose access to your WoW accounts under that heading as well as any other games.

This is a fantastic guide. And basically is a quick sum up of everything Hack personally taught me xD
But a very very solid guide to people who need help understanding the concept as a whole.
Amazing visuals by the way, they really help connect everything together. [ alot of people need visuals to help full understand things]

once again, this will help alot of people get the ball rolling.

WE ALL CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH!!!! DO NOT FOR ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BOT ON YOUR MAIN ACCOUNT. AHHHH!!!!! DONT DO IT!!!!
OR YOU'LL BE LIKE ME AND LOSE 3 CONSECUTIVE GLADIATOR TITLES BECAUSE YOU DECIDED TO START BOTTING A WEEK BEFORE THE HUGE BANWAVE... YES I KNOW UNREALISTIC VERY VERY HORRIFIC LUCK. BUT LEARN FROM MY PAINSTACKING LOSS AND NEVER BOT ON YOUR ACCOUNT!!!!! AHHHHH!!!!

So, for someone brand new to botting that made a couple of these mistakes but hasn't been banned yet, what can you suggest? I read that you can merge accounts if they are both setup with the same name and ultimately I want to level to 85 and merge with my main account, so that's what I did. Also, I sent my first bot a little gold for bags early on. I never traded anything after that, but do you think GM's would go through all of the history to look for stuff like that?

Thanks for the guide and the advice.

A lot of people do that, I am one of them.

I've leveled toons on a secondary account, and then transfer them to my non botting account for hand play,
And then continue leveling new toons on the botting account.

Are you planning on farming gold for your own use or to sell?
Your history is not as important as you'd think, Your future actions are however.

I guess I was planning to level 2-3 toons and merge the 2 accounts rather than transferring them one at a time. Didn't really see myself as a long term botter, but it is pretty fun. Maybe I'll keep that 2nd account and transfer like you do. I'm not going to farm gold to sell, just enough gathering to pay for everything I need to continue leveling.

Merging accounts i guess would be the "cheap" way of making them playable.. but kinda sketch imo.

What I do/am doing, is i have my botting account. I herb/mine on this account as well as have a gbank with well over 300k right now...
When I reach level 85, I will typically buy everything i Possibly can to upgrade my toon, and also do some market research[ ie: price checking between server I'm on, and the server I'm going to.][Unfortunately going from a low pop. to a high pop. pretty much sucks to sum it up, because on a high pop for example twilight jasmine stacks go for 35g MAX, and on the server I'm on they go for 225g MIN] .

And After all of this is accomplished and I'm comfortable with everything that i can control, [ I recently found out that there is a gold limit when Xferring servers/accounts ,(I guess so economies stay stable?), .... very disappointing.] I then Xfer my character to a new server and also to my main account [this account has never even had a mimic bot opened once], and that pretty much kills any suspicion because it's on a new server and when they check my botting account.... my recently Xferred Character isn't on the history and is now associated with "Clean-Slated" Characters/Account.

This method I have been using for almost 2 months now, and i have successfully added 3 Brand New 85s to my main botting account and this new druid I'm working on is level 70, so I'd be confident to say that I understand what to do and how to be sneaky about it.

*** By the way, If anyone does know what the gold cap to transfer characters is Please either PM me or post here, I tried to xfer a character with 150k and found out that it was over.... went to 50k.... was too over... So if anyone does know what it is from past experiences please let me know!! Thanks in Advance!! ***

Corey, I believe the lvl 85 cap is 50k now. They're making Gbanks movable in 4.2 so that should uncap it.

well I'm trying to get my druid to 85, and then Xfer back to my banned Main's Server, because I talked to my old guild's leader and they said if I can get back in there at 85 that they would help me get geared fast enough for Firelands. The reason is that on my rogue i had 3 glad titles / and mounts to showoff and on my druid I was half ilvl372 Heroic Raiding Gear. And by now they are on Heroic Cho'gall and Heroic Nefarion and about to down them soon, So I'm trying to get back there.

the only problem Is that I found out you can't put stuff on the neutral AH and buy your OWN auctions.... So I had to very carefully choose a person to buy my auctions trading him 5k at a time lol..... and luckily he didn't pull a fast one... but that's because if he did then he would miss out on the 10k I gave him after words, so I'm guessing that helped persuade him but he did sound More Like an Adult by the way he talked ( 30 years old + ) but that definetly was an ordeal..

The problem is that all the BoE items I can buy on my current server(low pop.) is that everything is literally almost 3 times more expensive then when I check the AH of my target Server.... Which is disappointing because I want to xfer with the 50k I can Xfer with, but hopefully go over there with a grip of stuff already stacked on my guy
